Day 01 Sydney or Melbourne/Beijing
Fly from Sydney via Shanghai (MU562 1100/1920) or fly from Melbourne via Shanghai (MU 738 1100/1920) to Beijing (MU5186 2115/2340), the dynamic capital of the People's Republic of China. Once the imperial city of Mongol, Ming and Manchu emperors, Beijing today is still extraordinarily rich in historical sites and cultural relics. After clearing airport formalities, meet your CTS guide and transfer to your hotel.

Day 02 Beijing (B/L/D)
Tour starts from the Tian’anmen Square, the biggest public square in the world. You will also be able to have a photo stop at The National Centre for the Performing Arts, formerly known as the National Grand Theatre, and colloquially described as The Egg. Then, we visit Forbidden City, the vast complex of palaces, which was home to successive Emperors for more than 500 years. Included is admission to the living quarters, museum and jewelry sections.
After a Chinese lunch, tour to the Temple of Heaven, the 500-year old Temple houses altars on which sacrifices and offerings were laid to the gods in a glorious setting of gardens, tress and sculptures. Today this park is a favorite gathering spot for local residents where they come to sing, dance, exercise and relax. Joining in on activities is a fun way to interact with everyday Beijingers.
After dinner, you will witness the amazing Beijing Acrobatic Show.

Day 03 Beijing (B/L)
Morning tour to the Great Wall at Juyongguan section, stretching almost 4,000 miles from the Pacific Ocean to the sands of Central Asia and befittingly crowned one of the ten wonders of the world. Along the way, you will stopover at a jade carving factory where you can watch artisans at work. After lunch, continue to the Summer Palace, the largest and the best preserved of all imperial palace gardens, which boasts such delights as the famous Marble Boat and the ornately painted 'Long Corridor', and take a boat ride on its Lake Kunming if the weather permits.

Day 04 Beijing/Ji’nan-Qufu (B/D)
After breakfast, We will take the Bullet Express to Ji’nan. Upon arrival, we take a coach ride to Qufu, the hometown of Confucius. We will visit Confucius Temple and Mansion. Transfer to the hotel.

Day 05 Qufu-Ji’nan=Nanjing (B/L/D)
First, we ride back to Ji’nan, the local capital of Shandong Province. Have a short city tour, then we take the new Bullet Express Train to Nanjing (617KM in just 2.5 hours) to the ancient capital of early Ming Dynasty and the city served as the capital of China from 1911 till 1945. Enjoy the night tour of Qinhuai River, a romantic and inspiring river area for ancient Chinese poet.

Day 06 Nanjing-Yangzhou-Nanjing (B/L)
After breakfast, full day excursion to the beautiful Garden city of Yangzhou that emperor Qianlong of Qing Dynasty visited 6 times privately in his life.
Highlights----Slender West Lake and Ge Garden:
The soul of natural beauty in Yangzhou should be the Slender West Lake lying to the northwest of Yangzhou City. Like a long wide green ribbon, its beauty lies in the rippling waters, winding dikes, arching bridges, dancing willows and colourful flowers along the bank. 24 attractions along this delicate lake make up a huge water scene.
Also with a pleasant climate, the picturesque Yangzhou has been regarded as a perfect place for settling from the earliest times to the present day. Nowadays, there are still many fine ingenious private gardens of some very famous figures. The Ge Garden in Yanfu Lu in the downtown area should be a representative one. The intriguing rockery layout of four seasons in the garden shows originality and intelligence, and the exquisite buildings betray the superb artistic taste of the host.

Day 07 Nanjing=Shanghai (B/L/D)
In the morning, we visit Dr. Sun Yatsum’s Memorial Hall in Nanjing. After lunch, we travel by train to Shanghai and check in to your hotel.

Day 08 Shanghai (B/L)
After breakfast, we will visit the Bund, a popular promenade along the Huangpu River, where the old meets the modern in Shanghai. You may see the local people performing Tai Chi during your stroll along the Bund. Afterwards, we will visit the Old Town with its winding alleyways, lined with shops, teahouses and restaurants, and then to the elegant and tranquil Yu Garden. Then, in the late afternoon we will visit Shanghai Xintiandi, which is a unique tourist attraction in downtown Shanghai, featuring the city’s unique “Shikumen” houses and a maze of narrow alleys, which have been converted into cafes, restaurants, bars, art retail shops.

Day 09 Shanghai/Sydney or Melbourne (B)
Free at leisure. You may go for shopping till you dropping or explore this booming city on your own path. Then being transferred to the airport, and take flight (MU561 2020/0900+1) back to Sydney or take flight (MU737 2015/0900+1) back to Melbourne.
