Day 01 Sydney or Melbourne/Beijing
Fly from Sydney via Shanghai (MU562 1100/1920) or fly from Melbourne via Shanghai (MU 738 1100/1920) to Beijing (MU5186 2115/2340), the dynamic capital of the People's Republic of China. Once the imperial city of Mongol, Ming and Manchu emperors, Beijing today is still extraordinarily rich in historical sites and cultural relics. After clearing airport formalities, meet your CTS guide and transfer to your hotel.

Day 02 Beijing (B/L/D)
Tour starts from the Tian’anmen Square, the biggest public square in the world. You will also be able to have a photo stop at The National Centre for the Performing Arts, formerly known as the National Grand Theatre, and colloquially described as The Egg. Then, we visit Forbidden City, the vast complex of palaces, which was home to successive Emperors for more than 500 years. Included is admission to the living quarters, museum and jewelry sections.
After a Chinese lunch, tour to the Temple of Heaven, the 500-year old Temple houses altars on which sacrifices and offerings were laid to the gods in a glorious setting of gardens, tress and sculptures. Today this park is a favorite gathering spot for local residents where they come to sing, dance, exercise and relax. Joining in on activities is a fun way to interact with everyday Beijingers.
After dinner, you will witness the amazing Beijing Acrobatic Show.

Day 03 Beijing (B/L)
Morning tour to the Great Wall at Juyongguan section, stretching almost 4,000 miles from the Pacific Ocean to the sands of Central Asia and befittingly crowned one of the ten wonders of the world. Along the way, you will stopover at a jade carving factory where you can watch artisans at work. After lunch, continue to the Summer Palace, the largest and the best preserved of all imperial palace gardens, which boasts such delights as the famous Marble Boat and the ornately painted 'Long Corridor', and take a boat ride on its Lake Kunming if the weather permits.

Day 04 Beijing/Hangzhou (B/L/D)
After breakfast, we fly to Hangzhou, which is a well-known tourist, historical and cultural city and one of the six ancient capitals in China as well. The enchanting West Lake, a time-honored culture, the Grand Canal, and the colorful folk customs and habits south of the Yangtze River make Hangzhou a unique tourist center.
Upon arrival, we take a cruise to the West Lake, located west of the city and hemmed in by mountains on three sides, you will enjoy the fabled scenery at 'Broken Bridge', 'Three Pools mirroring the Moon'. Then we will go to the West Lake Garden to see the Gold Fish (Hua Gang Park). Continue onto the Lingyin Temple, a notable also as one of the ten most famous Buddhist temples of China, which has a history over 1000 years. Afterwards we will also visit a local tea plantation and taste the rich and fresh green tea as well as acquaint you with the ancient refining process of tea.

Day 05 Hangzhou-Wuzhen (B/L)
Today, we will go to Wuzhen a well-preserved old town. This is the China of picture books, complete with narrow streets, simple and elegant homes, teahouses and intriguing shops. You will have time to visit the market and mingle with local citizens. Tonight stay at a hotel in Wuzhen.

Day 06 Wuzhen-Suzhou-Shanghai (B/L/D)
We have a side trip to Suzhou, a small town famous for its classic gardens in the south of China and often so-called Oriental Venice. You will visit the Garden of the Master of Fishing Net, Panmen Scenery Area. As the center of the scenery area, Panmen City Gate was first built during the Wu Kingdom of Spring and Autumn Period (770BC-476BC) and it is the only well preserved water-and-land city gate in the world now. Also we will visit Silk Spinning Mill and take a boat cruise on the Canal constructed over 1,000 year ago in Sui Dynasty. Late afternoon, continue our ride by coach to metropolitan Shanghai.

Day 07 Shanghai (B/L)
After breakfast, visit the Bund, a popular promenade along the Huangpu River, where the old meets the modern in Shanghai. We may experience local life on the Bund to see early morning Tai Chi if you want to be an early bird. Then, continue to the Old Town with its winding alleyways, lined with shops, teahouses and restaurants, and to the elegant and tranquil Yu Garden. Afternoon tour the Shanghai Xintiandi, which is a unique tourist attraction in downtown Shanghai, featuring the city’s unique “Shikumen” houses and a maze of narrow alleys, which have been converted into specialist F & B, retail, entertainment and cultural facilities. Dinner will be on your own arrangement.

Day 08 Shanghai/Australia (B)
After breakfast, you will have the last chance for shopping before transfferred to the aiport, then take flight (MU561 2020/0900+1) back to Sydney or take flight (MU737 2015/0900+1) back to Melbourne.
