Itinerary

Day 01: Australia - Hanoi

Fly to Hanoi with Vietnam Airlines. Hanoi, a city of lakes, shaded boulevards and public parks with friendly people is the capital of Vietnam. Upon arriving, transfer to the hotel and stay for 3 nights.

Day 02: Hanoi (B/L)

Morning tour of Hanoi includes One Pillar Pagoda, Temple of Literature dedicated to Confucius, Hoan Kiem Lake, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum; the final resting place of Ho Chi Minh, St. Joseph Cathedral. After lunch, take a rickshaw to the "Old Quarters". Here you can shop for local handicrafts and souvenirs.

Day 03: Hanoi - Halong Bay - Hanoi (B/L/D)

After breakfast, drive east to Halong Bay along Highway 5 across Hai Hong Province. Excursion by boat through Halong Bay including seafood lunch on board (4 hours) Cruising on a tradition wooden boat along the emerald waters and craggy limestone formations. Return to the pier and drive back to Hanoi.

Day 04: Hanoi - Hoi An (B/L/D)

After breakfast, fly to Danang and drive to Hoi An. Upon arriving, check in at the hotel for 2 nights.Afternoon: Enjoy your half-day city tour of this peaceful beach town, which is best to see on foot.

Day 05: Hoi An (B/L)

Morning: Take a boat cruise along Thu Bon River to visit a local fishing village and pottery making village.After lunch, free to enjoy more of this charming town at your own pace.

Day 06: Hoi An-Danang-Saigon(B/D)

After breakfast drive to Danang for your flight to Saigon. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel for 2 nights.
Afternoon: excursion to Cu Chi Tunnels, a 200km long network of tunnels connecting command posts, hospitals, shelters and weapon factories which were not discovered during the Vietnam War. Tonight we will have a special dinner on a boat cruising along the Saigon River.

Day 07: Saigon - Australia (B/L)

Saigon is the largest of Vietnamese cities, with the hustle and bustle of Vietnamese life visible everywhere. There are street markets, sidewalk cafes and sleek new bars. The city churns and bubbles. Yet within this teeming metropolis are 300 years of timeless traditions and the beauty of an ancient culture.

Morning: Half-day city tour which includes Notre Dame Cathedral, Central Post Office, City Hall and Dong Khoi Street. Afterwards, you will be dropped off at the Ben Thanh Market for some last minute shopping in this dynamic city. Late check out at 1800 then transfer to the airport for your flight back to Australia.

Day 08: Australia

Morning arrival back to Australia.
