Saturday, Day 1: Arrive Bhubaneshwar (L / D)
This morning, arrive Bhubaneshwar, the capital city of Orissa. After clearing airport formalities, meet your local guide and transfer to your hotel.
This afternoon, visit Jain Caves, located atop the twin hills known as Udayagiri and Khandagiri. These rocks caves are cut out in such a way that the weight and pressure on the sides and interior of the caves are maintained in equilibrium. Ancient wall carvings and sculptures are also preserved at the site.
Sunday, Day 2: Bhubaneswar to Puri (B / L / D)
This morning drive to Puri enroute visiting Dhauli, to see the famous Ashokan rock edicts, believed to be the oldest rock cut sculptures in India. Also stop en-route at Pipli, a native village known for its unique handicraft work & Konark to visit the famous Sun Temple.
Take a photo stop at Lord Jagannath Temple, one of the most popular Hindu pilgrim sites in India. Later, enjoy an evening at leisure at the beach in Puri, where you also get an opportunity to appreciate unique sand sculptures made by local artists.
Monday, Day 3: Puri to Gopalpur (B / L / D)
This morning, drive to Gopalpur, enroute visiting Chilika Lake, the largest salt-water lagoon of Asia and one of the most popular bird sanctuaries of India. Take a boat ride at Chilika Lake, observing native and migratory birds.
Arrive Gopalpur and enjoy an evening at leisure by the beach.
Tuesday, Day 4: Gopalpur to Rayagada (B / L / D)
This morning, drive to Rayagada, enroute visiting hot sulphur springs, and Desia kondh and Saora tribal villages. Visit the weekly market of Desia kondh tribe (market opens every Tuesday). The tribal village tours of Orissa will give you an insight into primitive lifestyles, as villages in Orissa are inhibited by some of the most ancient and unusual tribes of India.
Arrive Rayagada & enjoy an evening at leisure.
Wednesday, Day 5: Rayagada to Jeypore (B / L / D)
After breakfast, drive to Chatikona to visit the weekly tribal market of Dongaria Kondh tribes (market opens on Wednesday). A visit to the tribal market, also gives you an opportunity to interact with the local tribes and observe their way of life. Continue drive to Jeypore and enjoy an evening at leisure.
Thursday, Day 6: Day in Jeypore (B / L / D)
After breakfast, drive to Ankadeli to visit the famous Bonda tribes, believed to be the most primitive tribes of India. Later drive to Lampatput and the nearby villages, which are home to another interesting and primitive tribe called ‘Gadaba’. Also visit the Gadaba travel market (market opens every Thursday).
Friday, Day 7: Jeypore to Gopalpur (B / L / D)
After breakfast, drive to Gopalpur, enroute visiting a Tibetan Settlement at Chandragiri. On arrival in Gopalpur, enjoy an evening at leisure by the beach.
Saturday, Day 8: Gopalpur to Bhubaneswar (B / L)
This morning, drive to Bhubaneswar airport to board your flight for onward journey.
